Looks like they have done a very nice job on the hardware design. I'm not sure I personally would have chosen ADA for the controlling software, but given that they are using this to hone various educational skills it might be reasonable.
I wish them the best of luck and I'll keep an eye on how they do to see what wisdom can be gleaned.
BTW, they have put together a first class website to document this with lots of pictures and other materials.
